Artwork & production

Attach artwork to orders and follow status from art approval through production so the whole shop sees the same source of truth.

Artwork on orders

Each order can have one or more artwork records with:

  • Printing method (screen print, DTG, embroidery, etc.)
  • Placements (front, back, sleeve, …)
  • Colors and file references
  • Art status (e.g. pending, approved, in production)

Open an order → Artwork tab to add or edit specs. Files can be hosted via Cloudinary for previews and customer-facing approval views.

Production workflow

Orders move through statuses you define (quote, waiting approval, approved, in production, complete, etc.). Change status from the order detail page or list views; changes are logged in Activity.

Common pattern:

  1. Quote / art pending
  2. Customer approves quote + art
  3. In production (screens, press, stitch-out, …)
  4. Complete → ready for pickup or delivery

Shop floor visibility

  • Orders list — filter and sort by status, deadline, or client.
  • Activity — who changed what and when (some entries can be visible to the client).
  • Artwork gallery — browse artwork across orders (Shop → Artwork).

Tips

  • Set realistic deadlines on orders so overdue jobs surface in your workflow.
  • Keep art status in sync with customer approval — approved art reduces back-and-forth on the floor.
  • Use internal activity notes for shop-only details; mark client-visible updates when customers should see them.
