Pickup & delivery
When production wraps up, customers need clear pickup or delivery instructions. Fulfillment is status + messages + optional online-store checkout options. A proof-of-concept shipping labels tab can quote EasyPost rates from garment weight and print a carrier label — it is optional and does not replace the complete email.
Mark as Complete
On the order header, Mark as Complete:
- Choose Pickup or Delivery.
- Confirm the message (defaults come from your company settings and can include the shop address).
- Send — the client is emailed; Activity logs the change.
Use statuses such as Ready for pickup or Shipped if you want that language before the final complete email. Map those statuses to the customer order tracker under Settings → Order statuses.
Online stores (group orders)
On Online Store:
- Pickup location — shown to buyers
- Offer shipping at checkout — buyer chooses pickup vs ship; you may add shipping cost at fulfillment
- After close, email buyers (for example ready for pickup) from the submissions list
Feedback and reviews
Request feedback on the order (send now, or on the delay from Settings → Feedback & reviews). Typical setup: wait seven days, optional Google review page URL, optional internal notification address. Buyers land on a short public feedback form.
Order Complete can also trigger the delayed feedback email if that toggle is on for the Complete status.
Customer communication
- Status-change emails when the status is configured to Email customer
- Activity notes you mark visible to the client
- View as Customer / approval link for the same story the client sees
- Send Payment Reminder if a balance remains
Suggested workflow
- Move status to in production, then ready, matching your floor.
- Confirm ship-to or pickup on the client record.
- Mark as Complete with pickup vs delivery copy.
- Optionally schedule feedback.
Tips
- Align order statuses with the words your team already uses.
- For delivery jobs, confirm address before you finish production.
- Online-store shipping cost is often finalized after you know carton weight — don’t promise a carrier rate you don’t calculate yet.
